COVID SAFETY PROTOCOL FOR IN-HOME ORGANIZATION APPOINTMENTS

The comforts of your home are more important now than ever, as you are most likely spending more time than usual at home. SortJoy is committed to offering you the professional organizational services you need in compliance with the guidelines set out for the region.

 

We have been working hard to develop protocols to keep everyone healthy based on the OSHA, CDC, and local public health recommendations.  We are using the following guidelines for service calls. They will likely shift as the situation evolves, but please see below for our current process:


 

During your Service Call

 

We will:

  • Wear a cloth mask, clean shoe covers, or no shoes and clean socks, and a fresh pair of disposable gloves.

  • Limit unnecessary contact with surfaces in your home and avoid shared use of tablets, laptops, writing utensils, and cell phones. We regularly wipe down these items.

  • Avoid shaking hands and practice social distancing of 6 feet.

  • Wash our hands for 20 seconds or use hand sanitizer when this isn’t possible as often as possible.

  • Request that shared spaces in the home have good airflow.  For example, this can be done by turning on an air conditioner or opening windows, weather permitting.  This is consistent with CDC recommended precautions for people in households.


 

Before and after every call

 

We will:

  • Wash our hands for 20 seconds or use hand sanitizer when this isn’t possible.

  • Sanitize steering wheel, door handles, seat belt buckle, phone, tablet, and any tools used on a job.

  • Replace disposable gloves and mask.

 

We are doing everything possible to keep our customers and coworkers healthy. We are grateful for the opportunity to organize your home while you are spending more time in it and we are committed to keeping your home safe and comfortable. Please let us know if you have any questions.


 

What we require of you, the client

 

  1. Let us know in advance if any person in the space has been diagnosed with COVID, has a fever, or does not feel well.

  2. Let us know if there are any high-risk individuals that will be on the premises while our organizer is there. 

  3. Whenever possible, we request that shared spaces in the home have good airflow. An example of this would be turning on an air conditioner or opening windows, weather permitting, consistent with CDC recommended precautions for people in households.

  4. When our organizer is there, you and any other individuals in the home must cover coughs and sneezes and wear a mask when in the same room as the SortJoy organizer and the area being organized.

  5. Keep a 6-foot distance from our organizers at all times. 

  6. Do not touch or try to shake hands with our organizers
