Where do you ship?

Right now, we ship throughout the contiguous United States.

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes! We offer free standard shipping on orders over $100 within the contiguous United States.

How long will it take for my order to ship?

Please allow 2 business days after placing your order for processing. Packages typically take 2-7 days from order placement to delivery. As soon as it ships, you’ll receive an email with tracking information.

Can I request expedited shipping?

Yes. For express shipping, please place your order as usual and then immediately email us at [email protected]. Please include your Order # and the date you need your items. We will then provide you with a shipping quote and estimated delivery date. Please note express shipping comes with an additional fee.

 

Returns & Refunds

What is your return policy?

We want you to feel good about your SortJoy purchase. If you’re unsatisfied for any reason, you may return your items within 30 days of the receipt date, provided they are unused and returned in their original packaging. The cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

How do I start a return?

Start your return here. We’ll provide a prepaid return shipping label and deduct the cost of the label from your refund once the items have been received and processed at our warehouse. If your item arrived damaged or defective, we’ll cover the return shipping cost.

How are refunds issued?

Refunds are issued to the original payment method used for the purchase. You’ll receive an email confirmation once your refund has been processed. Please note that while we do process returns as quickly as possible, they may take 1-2 weeks once received at our warehouse. 

How do I start an exchange?

Start your exchange here. We’ll provide a prepaid return shipping label (at no cost to you) and as soon as the items have been received we will ship your exchange.

My order arrived damaged or defective. What should I do?

Please contact us at [email protected] within five days of delivery and include a few photos of the issue. We'll work with you to resolve it as quickly as possible and make it right.

Can I cancel or change my order?

Please reach out to us at [email protected] as soon as you can, and we'll take it from there. If your order hasn't shipped yet, we'll do our best to update or cancel it right away. If it's already on its way, you're welcome to return it once it arrives. Your refund will be issued as soon as the returned items reach our warehouse and are processed.

What colors do your products come in?

Most of our collection comes in two timeless neutrals: Stone and Carbon. Our Label Clips add a soft pop of color in Peony, Sailor, Sage and Citron.

What are your bins made of?

Our signature felt is made from recycled PET plastic, and our labels are crafted from lightweight, high-quality powder-coated stainless steel. As for our vegan leather, it's made from 65% recycled material and is water-based, so you won't find the toxic fumes that come with most solvent-based engineered leathers.

What size bin do I need?

Our Size Guide includes the dimensions of every bin and tray, making it easy to find the right fit for your space—from the Petite Flex Bin to our Sculpted Long and Wide Bins.

Do the trays work as lids?

Yes. Our Sculpted Trays are designed to double as lids for their coordinating Sculpted Bins, allowing you to cover and stack them.

What can I write on the labels with?

We recommend writing on our Label Clip and Label Pins  with wet-erase or waterproof chalk pens or using our collection of Label Tags for an easy, ready-made option.

 

Care & Cleaning

Are the bins washable?

Our Flex Bins and Handle Bins are machine-washable. To help protect the felt and reduce microfiber shedding, we recommend washing them inside a laundry bag such as the GUPPYFRIEND Washing Bag, available on our site. Our structured Sculpted Bins should be spot-cleaned with a damp cloth to help them maintain their shape.

Why should I use a GUPPYFRIEND Washing Bag?

Like leggings or a fleece sweater, washable felt products can release tiny microfibers in the wash. A GUPPYFRIEND Washing Bag helps protect the fabric and prevents more than 85% of fiber breakage.

 

Sustainability

How sustainable are SortJoy products?

Sustainability is one of our core values and informs the materials and packaging we choose. Our felt is made from fibers derived from recycled PET plastic, our water-based vegan leather is made with 65% recycled material, and our labels are crafted from stainless steel rather than plastic. We also use minimal packaging designed to ship compactly, without unnecessary decorative filler.

Are you carbon neutral or plastic neutral?

Since 2023, SortJoy has been certified Plastic Neutral. For every pound of PET or recycled PET we use, we fund the recovery of an equivalent amount of ocean-bound plastic through our partner, CleanHub.

 

Gifting

Do you sell gift cards?

Yes! Our Digital gift cards are available in amounts ranging from $25 to $250 and may be used toward any purchase on our site. They're delivered by email with simple instructions for redeeming them at checkout—a thoughtful gift that helps keep clutter at bay instead of adding to it.
